Eyes were with a shine aglow
Lively and shimmering so
Not a sign of confusion
Or a case of clouded vision
Her chatters were always lively
Steps always sprightly
Never a dull thing to say
A smile on the lips did play
Infused with a passionate energy
To many was she a mystery
A spirit hard to put down
Smiles superceded her frown
What many not know
Was every day she did grow
Her life was not ordinary
She had courage exemplary
Many a sacrifices she did make
Left her home, a job not take
So she could pack her bags
Dropped her riches for rags
For years a plan she had made
It had to be done, she had said
Travel the world would she
As much as she could see
To sit still was not in her nature
Exploring was to be her future
To drink in new experiences
Feed in life’s various nuances
Like a river did she flow
Make her way fast and slow
But make her way did she
Possessed by a soul eternally free
Many a things she saw
New lands and new laws
Met people dull and bright
With skin dark and light
Learnt languages new
Some fluent, of some words few
Tasted morsels many
Spent pounds and pennies
Their was so much life did teach her
Often was the soul stirred
To so many things she did belong
Yet nothing lasted long
For a passing wanderer was she
On a travelling spree
Disappointments ceased to affect her
In the mechanism of things she was smaller
A life so enriched by new happenings
With stories her memories brimming
Her travelling travails did teach so much
No aspect of hers remained untouched
Although she was now again at home
For those who knew her some
Could vouch she was not as a stream still
But a river meandering unstill
Although back home would she come flying
Not before she did some more wandering
For those who had its pleasure tasted
Would not have their days wasted
Her soul ,heart and mind
In her travel did she herself find
Quench her soul’s wanderlust
As they say,not all who travelled are lost
